BLS Healthcare providers
All courses are available for certification through either American Red Cross or American Safety and Health Institute.
The Basic Life Support (BLS) course for healthcare professionals builds upon the skills learned in the basic life support. In addition, you must have an unexpired BLS certification to qualify for this course. You will demonstrate skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. Information taught in this course is consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. A combination of lecture, skills demonstration, practice, and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS bridges the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills patient will be used to deliver outcomes need for desired outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.
